Donald and Christine welcome you to their self catering accommodation in Scotland 4 miles north of Castle Douglas. All on one level sleeping 3/4, the granny flat has one bedroom with double bed and Sharps fitted wardrobes, an en-suite shower room is off the bedroom. The comfortable lounge is very welcoming with modern furniture including a bedsettee, as well as a television there is a DVD player so bring your favourite DVDs with you, the flat has oil central heating so even if the weather is not nice the flat is warm and cosy. Although the flat is attached to the main house its not overlooked you still have your privacy, we are around if you need us at any time.

Ferngrove Cottage Granny Flat has wonderful views across the Loch to the distant hills, there is a small area with table and chairs but you are welcome to share the patio of the main house as we rarely have time to sit out as the gardens extend to nearly two acres and quite a bit of that is fresh vegetables so a lot of work. Guests are welcome to walk round the gardens at any time. During the summer when we have a surplus of vegetables do not be surprised if you find some on your doorstep.

Set just outside the Village of Crossmichael, where you will find the Thistle Inn bar meals available, further down the Main street is a fully stocked Village Shop & Post Office. For bird watchers we have the Red Kite trail, for garden lovers we have Threave Gardens and House just four miles away at Castle Douglas, and for folks who like to look round castles we have Drumlanrig Castle about thirty miles away well worth visiting. There is a lot to do and see in this area and the folks are very friendly.

Just 4 miles to the south lies the Town of Castle Douglas with its many unique shops, and various cafes to sit and watch all that goes on. Like all towns we have the usual Tesco that is to be found on the outskirts of the town, we also have a Coop store.

The Granny Flat is double-glazed and well appointed providing quality and comfortable accommodation sleeping 3/4. Off road parking is provided and all heating, electricity, Bed linen, towels and tea towels are included. Sorry no Smoking allowed in the flat and no pets allowed.
